Here's a look at some of the our featured projects throughout the years. We are enjoying our journey as digital learners because we are able to apply our knowledge in novel and creative ways as well as share our learning with a global audience! We also admit to favoring digital and photography projects because we get to see how we grow through time. We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed making them!
2nd Grade: What's Your Emotion?
Taken Photo Booth (iMac)
As part of our affective curriculum, second grade students learn vocabulary for a different range of emotions. Students then select their top 4 emotions and cite examples of when they experience these in their lives. Finally, students illustrate their selected emotions using this Photo Booth app on iMacs. Have a look at these adorable snapshots!
3rd Grade: Trailblazer Research Project
Taken with digital camera /iPhone, added effects via Clips App. Share via QR Codes
As part of a research project, third graders examined historical figures and their biographies. After researching some trailblazers in history, students created their own wax museum and wrote poems about the contributions, struggles, hopes, and dreams that these famous trailblazers may have faced in their lifetimes. Have a look at how our students brought history to life!
4th Grade: Inner Selfies
Taken with digital camera /iPhone, added effects via Prisma App
Every year, we complete interest and learning style inventories to learn more about ourselves and took it a step further by making these inner selfies to show our career interests. Not only did we learn more about careers that suited our learning styles, but we also enjoyed showing who we really are in a creative way! Have a look at these promising, future professionals.
5th Grade: Photo Wall
Taken with iPhone (Portrait Mode) and uploaded to Google Slides
As part of our affective curriculum, 5th graders explore positive self talk and affirmations. These are important as we deal with challenges in both our school and social lives. After researching some inspirational quotes that we live by, we chose a word to represent our vision for our futures along with our own mission statements or quotes. We hoped you enjoy our final products and hope they inspire you as well!
